Spent some time working on the ol' girl today. Pulled the dash tower and tightened up the steering column. Didn't rebuild it, yet, just took out a few yards of free play that were installed by the PO via a bent pivot arm on the box. straightened everything out and now it works fairly well. Amazingly, all of the bolts for the tower, the steering column and the foot pads/lift arm came out without any drama.

Straightened out the frame where the grille bolts on so that the hood fits properly. I figured that someone "bumped" something and tweaked the frame slightly. Some slight taps and it fits!

Got some fresh tires for the front end and will get them on there once we've had a chance to paint these wheels. It's really starting to grow on me!
