Default 1050 For Sale Near Me

A guy near me has a 1050 basket case for sale. He says all the parts are there but it needs a clutch. From what I can read here it's a rare tractor and the Magnum 10 is not a very common engine so parts might be a problem. I don't need another project right now but of course I am tempted. He is asking $200. Recommendations or warnings?

Acording to Hank Wills book, they only made them in 89. Definitely Buy it. Everyone needs more projects. put it away for retirement or something. Can't go wrong at 200.Offer him 150 for it. Kent

I just talked with the guy, I'm going to look at it at this afternoon. Wish I knew more about how to inventory the parts.

One thing to check, I not sure how on a non-runnung machine are the gears in the transmission. I have read that that was one problem with that model. Good luck!

I decided to pass on it. He said he would not take less than $200, the PTO on the engine was in the dirt and he said it had been setting there for a couple of years. It didn't feel right to me anyway. http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/grd/3673272868.html Here is the link if some of you are interested.

Yeah Mike's right. Others will pop up for sale.

I really don't get people. You pull a tractor apart, then throw misc. parts all over in the grass, dirt, etc.

She's been sitting outside for awhile with all that green growing on it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
