Looks like you've taken on a challenging project. You will be sooo happy with it when you are done, these are great machines. Can't wait to see the pictures as you make progress and when it's finally done! Keep posting!

Thanks for all the great comments. I was planning on painting the tractor with just spray cans but decided to buy a gun and do it up with some good paint. I think the old tractor deserves to be treated right.

I don't think there is anything wrong with spray cans, other than the price. If you watch your technique, you can get a nice glossy finish. I like them for the convenience, no setup or clean up and no waste. But I have to admit I get jealous of some of the folks here that have nice spay painting facilities. I don't.

Don't get me wrong I have seen some very nice paint jobs with spray cans and love them. I started using them on this build and noticed how much that I needed and it was costing me way too much.

Got some parts primed to day and I picked up a new hood. The old hood was pitted so bad it would have taken about a quart of bondo to fill the holes.
