I am probably wrong but it looks like a ride on sulkie for one of those old 2 wheel walk behind garden tractors like a David Bradley. Or it could be a sulky for a commercial two wheel mower.

That is a ride on sulky for Bunton mowers. Buntons were made in Louisville Ky. At one time they were the top of the line commercial mowers. I have a Goodall walk behind that I purchased in 1973 at their plant. At that time the guy that sold it to me was one of the VP of the company and in 1980 he moved just down the street from me. There is a yahoo group for Goodall Mowers which was also a product of the Bunton company. At one time there was a local TV commercial showing the operator of a mower setting the mower on a concrete block and chopping the block up with no damage to the mower.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
