That is a fair price in my neck of the woods. Not sure why they hacked up the plow for. Looking back at it looks like the sleeve hitch adapter, lifting straps and lift pin are still attached to the plow.

Looks like it's been re-powered. Check what they put in it. Looks like a good price, though.

I would look it over really well, something doesn't look right with that front blade and it's hard to tell from the picture what they have done there on the back end.

I'm not saying that all PO mods are a bad thing... Just make sure they work as they should, or that they can be reversed without a ton of additional cost.

Even here in "the land of no Cub Cadets" $500.00 is pretty-much top dollar for what is there.

Good Luck

Looks like they added a bracket of some sorts to the back to add the ball hitch. Hard to tell from the pic, but I don't see the rear lift assembly. The front blade is either hacked up or not correct for a cub, once again, hard to tell from the pics. Rear plow missing the coulter. The engine's black, so probably a replacement at some point. It is a 126, third lowest production cub numbers wise, so that's worth something to a collector.......... Good luck and keep us posted.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
