48" deck spindle question
I am rebuilding a 48" 3 spindle deck (1968-1971) and I'm not sure about the order of the internal parts. I've looked at the chassis manual and it's still a little unclear. I've got everything figured out except the piece in the picture with a question mark (the ring that is split). I'm pretty sure it goes above the large spacer and in between the bearings, but I just want to double check before it goes back together. Is the order in the picture right? Thanks.

Yes, you have it correct. The diagram of the Cub Cadet manual for 1x6/7 tractors does not actually name this part. It is shown in the diagram though.
I have rebuilt two of these spindles over the last few years. Your layout is the same. (Just make certain that you install the seals in the correct direction. It's the opposite of what most people would think.) Cheers
