Just wondering how many people on here (like me) have small yards in the city?? I really don't need a GT, or 2 for that matter, but I think they are cool.

Nothing wrong with having two Cub Cadets and not really having a use for them...
Lots of people own cars and have no idea how to drive! Truthfully if you have Cub Cadets.... Uses for them will come along

I have 12 tractors and can only get on three of them by myself, the LT's. The wife has to boost me up on the GT's, so really don't "need" them, but I "HAVE" to have them, just like you in town with the small lot. So if it takes 1/2 hour or 3 1/2 hours to mow the lawn.
They are a part of the past, history ![]() ![]()

I could have 40 acres to mow and still say I have a small yard...
![]() That being said, my front yard (I live in a suburb of Detroit) is about 60X90 and my backyard is 80X300'. I have a small garden I can get my cadet in with a tiller. It's enough so that I have about 20 min-1/2 hr of mowing time, so the 147 is just about right. I wish I had me a Farmall M (always have wanted one) but my wife says it's too big for our yard.

I dont have to worry about small spaces, I got 1500 acres to play with. For me 7 cubs are not enough in my eyes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
