Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Not even one vote for a new paint job huh?

Well I guess I will have to leave it alone then.

You guys saved me a lot of work!

Bsmith that is a very nice tractor. I love those tires.(Front & Back) And I also would vote for no new paint either, but its your toy. Do what makes you happy. I am also digging that hitch by the way.

Very nice 782!! Think I'd echo the others and leave it alone--or at least wait 'til later to make that decision. Enjoy it!!

VERY nice 782! Another vote to keep it original and enjoy the fact that it looks that good after 30 years!

I personaly would rather look at a nice original tractor with a few age marks then look at a tractor that somebody worked at painting and did not get it right nice restores are neat but they are original paint only once and your tractor looks real good I would show it and see what other people say that's my 2 cents

ken6x6,

I got all my tires on line from www.stopandgotires.com.

Most times they have free shipping on the Carlisle tires and their prices are the best I have found.

The front tires are Super Lugs and the rear are Tru-Powers.

Ray,

Maybe I will take this one with me out to Red Power and see what comments she gets.

It is a darn nice looking tractor, I just wish she didn't have some of the scrapes and scratches on it. I guess that is what gives it character.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
