Josh,

I seen those three you were talking about on CL. I think these are different. The others on CL looked a lot nicer than these I thought...this has the series II engine. It has a Walbro carb on it and it has some hesitation and surging when it's warming up but after that it runs great.

I don't really know if I'm getting into the newer Cubs, just happened to run into the 782 at the right time and figured this 682 would go cheap, and boy did it go cheap! But of course, it and the few I have left are for sale for the right price

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
