I probably should have added that my 2182 is electron challenged. You can run the PTO or the anemic factory headlights but not both at the same time. Pretty sure the electrical system was designed by Lucas the Prince of Darkness from British Car fame.

I had a similar light setup on my 1430 a couple of years ago. I got really creative and mounted a 105 amp GM alt. so it would run off the input shaft on the transaxle. It was a stuff job to get it in there. My drive key, which was a piece of alen wrench ended up rounding off after about a years worth of use. Back to the drawing board. It was cool while it lasted though. I could mow perfect in the pitch black of the country out here. Here is a pic. Kevin

Awesome! Like I said, I like my lights! I'm really busy and don't have time until evening or even night to mow. This year already I've probably mowed in the dark as much as I've mowed in the daylight. Out where I live there are NO lights. I don't even have a dusk to dawn and I have about 1.5-2 acres I mow. I actually put the lights on because I clean parking lots in the town I live in. Best time is at night when there are no cars. I usually start pushing/blowing snow at about 9, and work till midnight or later. It's pretty good $$ and winter is tough time for me to make money, so it helps!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
