How do I replace the center pulley?

I have a 50C deck and need to replace the center pulley. What's the proper way to replace it?

Take the nut off the top, pull the pulley. Install the new one.

most time you use a puller on the tin pulleys you make them unusable what we do is take the top nut off and get a small socket just so it clears the zerk pull up on the pulley by hand and tap on the socket with a hammer most times they come off

Soak it and re-soak it for about three days before you try to tap the pulley loose. Using the advice above is good because you will destroy the thin metal on the pulley if you use a puller. I also used a "Pickle fork" or a Pitman arm tool that I put between the pulley and the deck and alternated between that and the socket that fit over the grease fitting. Also heat can help if you apply it to the right place. Good luck.

Using an impact made the difference. Lots of BG InForce too.
