Default Front mechanical PTO ?
I am replacing the bearing and locking collar on my 104. The new locking collar has the set screw but no locking nut for the set screw. Should it have a longer set screw and a locking nut or is it good as is?

When I replaced my bearing I came across the same thing. I installed the bearing and collar with the set screw it came with, with no locking nut. I destroyed the the old set screw with locking nut taking the original bearing off, otherwise I would have used it. I've been mowing with the tractor for 2 years now, with no problem.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
