Default Electrical Question????
When Im mowing the yard part of it includes mowing along the highway.I want to add just a simple switch and two lights that flash.If I get just an old chevy of ford flasher relay will that work to make the lights flash.Don't want to get killed,on the highway mowing.Its on a up hill slope and speed limit is 60mph so its somewhat dangerous.Thanks.

Are you talking about an Amber Warning Light(s) or the existing lights on your tractor...???

The old "warp" relays are contingent on the amount of Amp Draw. They worked fine as long as two lamps were flashing. If one of the bulbs burnt out......then they wouldn't work and it was a clue to check your bulbs.

See if the "solid state" flashing relays will work without a specific Amp Load. This maybe something to consider.

OK,good idea.If I start with a hot wire at the battery and go to the switch,from the switch to the relay and from the relay to the lights will it be wired properly.Well grounded of coarse.By no means am I sure of myself when it comes to electrical just want to make sure I do it right the first time.

I would add a In-Line Fuse holder and use a 10A fuse to protect the circuit.
