Default Few pics of my 1211

Here's a few pics of my 1211. It originally had a M-12 in it. The guy I got it from, broke a rod. I took the engine all apart, and gave me a box of parts, minus alot! So I have an old K-301, and aqs I want to install. What do I need to do to get the wiring hooked up correctly so it will start and run?

For starters, your going to need a different ign switch. The original one is set up for a magneto. One off of an 82 series will work. Also, your going to have to change the wiring that runs to the ign switch. Best thing to do is get a diagram for a 1282. That machine is the same body style as your 1211, but had a K series engine in it. Wire it to match the 1282. Good luck!

J-Mech are all 1211's magneto ? I can't tell if one of the posted pictures show the pigtail for magneto type wiring, my 1282 is original and has points/ no magneto.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
