Default ISO mount info needed
I heard that u can use some kind of shock mount rubber for ISO replacement. I also heard you could get them at a NAPA store. could someone provide me with a PN and maybe a price? I don't want to spend much. (I'm 14 and got 1000 in my 1200 already) Thanks guys!

IF you are going to go aftermarket, then some people have had success with the Moog K5252. Richard Christensen done a write up on this using a "hybrid combination"



Moog K5252


The Moog kit has harder rubber bushings as opposed to the Cub Cadet version. Thus, if less money and more resilient bushings is what you want, then this kit will work.

That Moog number is for the front sway bar link kit for a 90 Chev caprice, among other things. That is for a standard replacement. Heavy duty kit may have harder bushings.

thanks guys. I have NO rubbers left. they were all so worn out that I have notches in my frame where the rails rubbed on the frame. could I get two kits? about how much might I be expecting to pay? thanks

If you go with all Moog rubbers you are going to get a lot of vibration, probably more than you have now as the engine is free to bounce around now and once you bolt it down the whole tractor is going to vibrate.

I would probably go with the standard Cub ISO rubbers and then just tighten the bolt so you see about one thread on top. That is still going to give you some vibration but not as bad, only thing is they are a lot more expensive.

If you want to save the money just go with the Moog rubbers but prepare for a lot of vibration.

R Bedell why didn't I think of that? rmunro: thanks! RChristensen: I actually never drove, or saw this tractor driven. I have never felt the vibrations. the engine has been in our 149 for at least a year, and it did not vibrate too badly mounted straight on the frame, so I would assume that the Moog rubbers would be an improvement over being solid mounted. could somebody post the length of the bolts? two of mine were missing, one was stripped, and the other was stretched, and I threw them all out about 3 months ago, and did not write down their length! I think I am going to have to go with the Moog rubber, simply because I can't spend too much more money on this thing. I can handle 20-30 bucks for the Moog rubbers, bu I don't want to spend any more than I need too. If anybody has any good ISO rubbers they might trade, please check out my ad in the For sale section. Thanks

While you are replacing rubbers, besure to do the craddle mod if it doesn't already have it done.

I concur. Actually, don't even THINK about putting that back together without doing the cradle mod, seeing as that you're putting a K341 in a 1200 with those rock-hard chassis mounts...You only want to do this once, and the cradle mod will help those mounts last a lot longer.
