The main difference is that with a spray gun you add hardener that will give much more longevity and strength to the paint and a nice shiny gloss that you won't get with a rattle can.

DWayne is 100% correct, I'm just finishing up a 102 with the correct paint (I had our local NAPA store mix the yellow and white and will have some pics later this week.

Here's my rattle can 100, everything yellow is cub cadet yellow with rattle can. The hood is PPG spray gun.
Bad thing also about rattle can is dry time. A lot of over spray which makes a lot of wet sanding But it turned out ok in the end.

And I get School Bus Yellow from Tractor Supply.
