There is a local guy asking $900 for one with just a deck. Don't think he will get it. He told me he paid $500 for it.

Yea the deck Is nicer than the pic shows. That's dirt on it. It had been off the tractor for a few years and just laying around. Not sure what to do with it. I did a little tilling last night with it. So now I am on the fence

I understand your need/desire for a snow blower/thrower, but if you intend to put in a garden next year, why are you so quick to want to get rid of your tractor and tiller?

If you live in an area where you get enough snow to warrant a thrower/blower, I would suggest that a tractor/tiller and a tractor/cab/blower/loaded tires/chains in about equal condition would be worth about the same money.

If you haven't already, I would check out some threads about snow blowers vs blades and the differences in snow conditions and compare them to the snow that you get in your area.

I would hate to see anyone spend a lot of time and effort, to trade off a machine that does exactly what they need it to do, only to end up with a different machine that doesn't do anything that they need for it to do.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
