I've been looking for a 782 now for three years, found one a few months back (middle of upstate NY winter) and bought it for a really good price. Stripped it all down, pulled all the sheet metal, engine, everything and rebuilt it from the ground up. Sand blasted the wheels and other rough parts, changed all the fluids and ended up with a pretty nice tractor. I also mounted a new style seat on it with adjusters (homemade brackets) so my wife could easily use it. I also added dual hydro from parts I got from Rich Patton (really good guy). I'm blasting and painting the blade and deck/mule drive this weekend and she'll be read for business.

Thanks for all the comments guys! Much appreciated
I agree, that is the main reason I went with the 24x12x12, I really wanted more lug but preferred the look of the 12" tire, besides the mowing and plowing i'm going to do with it won't require the aggressive lug. ![]() I'll get some more pictures this weekend when the get the blade and deck done. I was actually going to clear coat it, but I was really happy with the way the single stage paint flowed out when i sprayed it. The paint was straight from the CaseIH dealer, it was actually way cheaper than having it mixed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
