Afternoon One and Al.
First, this is my first posting in the land of OCC. I have an LT1050 and I have seen some other posts indicating that the MTD and Bercomac snow blowers will fit this lawn tractor. Anyone else know of a make that will fit. Much appreciate the heads up. ![]() Denis Allan |

Just my 2 cents but I'm not sure I would ask a LT1050 to do anything more than cut grass.

I agree with Sam, for little cost you can find an older cub/snowblower combo and be much happier in the long run.

I took a sears model and with a little fabrication adapted it to my lt1045. you have the bigger motor so you should have no problem. i live in wisconsin and my 20 horse easily clears 10 inches a pass wet or dry snow. Single stage.

Ya. I know the Lt 1050 isn't made for more then cutting grass. I purchased this for my father in law who also cuts the grass at another property for me. Now he's 74 and has a bad neck and can't look behind him when he's backing up.. He's always used a large tractor with a back blade. Now,that won't happen. I just purchased that tractor and short of selling it to purchase another one, was hopping to just be able to add a snow blower to make life easier for him.
Do appreciate the honesty.. Denis Allan |

Denis
I understand what you are trying to do, if you put a blower on it just take it easy and don't try to do too much with it all at once.

It'll do it. But take it easy. First pass either just creep through it or hold the blower up and only take half the depth. Next passes only take 1/2 the width of the blower at a time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
