I picked up a 42" blade for $30. I will have to fabricate a frame to fit my 1450, But I don't think I have ever seen a mount like this one. It is possible that it is an IH blade with a home brew frame.
Anyone have an idea? |

Take a look at the sub frame Rescue11 and I built for my 782.
I think the build part starts on the 2nd page. It came out great and a lot more sturdy. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=27869 |

It's a NF subframe with some extra holes.

And shortened to boot. Probably for a 4 Wheeler or john Deere or something.

It kind of looks like the subframe has been modified to fit on the cub while still running the deck subframe and those arms might slip into the eyelets of the deck or something like that, but on second thought......the arms seem too far apart for that set up, not to mention the eyelets wouldn't have enough room for that. If you need to pry that off, I have found that using a 3 point lift bar works great for that task.

I know that I will have do do some fabrication on it to make it fit, nothing a welder, torches & 50 ton press can't fix. All I need is time to do it!!!
I was just wondering if anyone may know what the push frame originally fit, I don't think I have ever seen a frame for the originals and pre 70's models. |

I'm with Allen, it looks like a 60's model NF subframe (pre-QA) that has been chopped and has extra holes drilled into it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
