Any Ideas?
Guys Ive been having a little problem with my 44" deck on my 1650. No its not the spindles (all brand new), no belt problems, just...well...on the edging side (round side) that spot right behind the left wheel always gets bashed in no matter what I do and watch out for...so Ive been thinking of bracing it with either angle iron or solid roll steel. It caves in so far that it actually stops the blades from turning and using a sledge hammer gets old. Just wondering if anyone has this problem and has or knows how to fix it. Cause right now I have the deck off for cleaning, blade sharpening and repairs (holes)

All I can say is excersize a little caution when you are mowing. If you beef the cave in area up to the point it is bullet proof you will for sure find the next weakest link. You will probably end up bending your mule drive up. Maybe you should avoid those areas and use a weed wacker. GT mowers are not ment to operate as edgers.

well thats just it....im mowing the open part of my yard and i use the weed waker and a push mower for the hard spots. its right beside the runner.

Interesting in the fact that on my Husqvarna deck the left front wheel takes the most abuse. When I got it the mounting hole was wallowed out and it was flopping around. I put bigger washers on it and tightened it up, seems to be OK now. No bashing on the deck itself since the wheel kinda leads the way, sticking out beyond the deck. Maybe because I tend to turn to the left when mowing there's a shorter arc than the other side, or something. Plus the wheel doesn't swivel and is actually moving sideways sometimes.
