Default New front tires

I ordered a new set of front tires today for myself for my birthday. They are Carlisle HD Field Trax 16x6.5x8. They don't list that size in their catalog but they do make it. It's the one on the right in the pic. I'll get some pics of them once I get them on. Hopefully with these tires I'll be able to turn in the snow. My bald multi-rib tires aren't cutting it.

Let us know how they do. I put the X-TRACS on this year and I am verry happy with them. My 1211 turns better now then I ever would have expected.

I just put them on the front of my tractor last week and pushed a little snow, compared to the original ribbed tires they actually grip instead of slide when turning and plowing snow. Im looking forward to not sliding sideways when I mow. I paid 22.00 each befroe shipping. Still even with shipping they were less expensive than the local TSC.

Still haven't got my tires yet. The dealer said he would have them early this week so I stopped by yesterday and they weren't there yet. He called his supplier and they told him they were a discontinued tire but they had found 2 tires and I should get them in another week or 2.

I finally got my tires yesterday. They say Field Trax on the sidewall but they have the All Trail tread pattern. Someone must have goofed at the factory and that's why they dicontinued that size, the mold was wrong. I'll get some pics today.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
