Go to the Cub parts site, type in 1863, hit go, click on the serial number, click on attachments and you should find what fits.

As SamMac said, this will give you lots of info. You just need the model and serial number.

FYI. So far its a 316 (190-316-100) mounting. It depends on the blade width for a different number

I'm pretty sure the old regular wide frame blade will fit it. Someone correct me if you've tried and it doesn't work, but I was thinking I had one on dad's 1864....

You might be right about that..... I can't remember. I know we kept the blade from the 782 when he traded, but can't remember if we tried and it didn't work, or if we used it on the tractor. Still have both, but just don't recall.

Woody, I have one that came off a 1864. I'm not sure what number it is. Why don't you make a trip down to my place and look at it. While you're here I'll show you my Supers.
You might just go home with some Cub Cadet Christmas presents for your wife!

I just looked up the numbers for the snow blade for a 1864. The 42" blade number is 190-375 and uses blade adapter 190-316. I think you can cross reference these numbers on partstree to see what models used these same items.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
