Default Ice storm - 2013

Fell like I am in a war zone tree limbs are falling left and right bouncing off the roof. About foot of snow and 2 inches of ice on top of that on the ground. Cars had about 2 1/2 ince ice and snow on windshield and about 1/4 inch of ice on sides. in the last 24 hours have had about 4 hours of power. North of Watertown its even worst . Alexandia Bay, Clayton, Thersa , Redwood even worst . That's just Jefferson County Ny . Saint Lawrence County I hear is getting bad also. Getting off lights are flickering . Rich

Hang in there Rich!!! It may be a while before you see this response, but I went through a similar time in 2005 we had our ice storm and we were without power for 2 1/2 wks. Cold showers were the worst, but thanks to some natural gas logs and a lot of soup, we made it!! Hope all is well your way!! Definitely a good time for a Pincor generator on the front of that cub.

Have ice and snow mix here too. For me, a lot of limbs down due to the ice weight but nothing major.

Hopefully it gets colder or warmer.
Nobody wants another Ontario Ice Storm of 1998.

Michigan had a weird go of this weather system that moved through, anything south of I-94 only got rain and melted most of the snow. North of that was where it made all of the ice. I lost power on Saturday Night and did not have it back by Sunday at 8pm so the wife and I decided to come down to my moms below the ice line. On a good note, yesterday before we left I was so bored that I was bundled up and out working on my 72. I finally got the custom wheel weights mounted with the tire chains also. Plus I removed the PTO to prepare for a rebuild.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
