Ok guys, got a question... What is a 682 worth? It's got a snowblade, series 2 460ish hours, really decent shape. No chrome hubcaps. Turf tires. Paint is faded as to be expected. I haven't got my hands on it yet, but says he tuned it up and such. New plugs, carb cleaned, new filter, fuel filter and points. Can ya give me a roundabout estimate?

It's worth what you're willing to pay based on how bad you want it
![]() Seriously though, without pics it's hard to guestimate. If it is as you say it is, I'd figure about $600ish. Spring assist, deck, hub caps, etc would have made it go higher but for me at least, $600 is about what I'd pay for what you listed. ![]()

Everybody wants to know what something is worth without being able to see pictures. One persons idea of "good condition" isn't another's.
And many times pictures don't tell the real condition of items for sale anyway. One guys idea of a $200 tractor is another's $50. If it's what you want, and the price is what your willing to pay, it's worth every dime. I've found that most prices are regional, there are great price differences from one state to another. Just saying.

Congrats on the 682.
Im from back in the day of people giving them away or picking them up for a few bucks. To me a 600 dollar cub with no extras needs to look mint. But those day are gone when these things moved from old used to a collection piece. Its like everyone said , there worth what ever it is to you. Or what your willing to pay.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
