Yes Jeff, that is correct. The bracket goes on from the front, and the lift rod goes underneath the foot rests, then over the front axle.

Hooked it up all works good now. thanks, Another issue I have now, is that my blower is apparently not a 450 but is a 451 making the blower quite wimpy, so I have the smaller pulley on the front of my 1811. Ive been searching around I believe I need the pto part number 717-3340, which is a 6.05" outside diameter. Will this work for what I am trying to accomplish? Can I just change the pulley on the outside of the pto? Or do I need to change the entire pto? What tractors did the correct pto I need come off of? I know its alot of questions I appreciate all help.

Pete

Unless you only want to run just that blower with that tractor, you won't be able to use any other attachments that use the PTO unless you upgrade to the mower decks that also work with them. Where did you get that part number? AFAIK all the 6.5" PTO's for CC's have the 1.25 center not the 1.125 center. You would have to put a collar on the crank. Then your going to have to find a belt that will work. The 450 and the 451 are very similar, but use two different gear boxes. You're really better off to sell and buy the correct one.

Maybe you can use something like this, 7th one down on the right http://www.petessmallengine.com/html/page_064.html
It's the PTO used on a 2284. Thinking you could use this for the blower and your other PTO for your mower. Kind of a PITA to need to swap them but it's an option. You would also need the spacer and the pin that keeps it from spinning. You can find the part numbers on the Cub parts site for those items.

This is the pic of the PTO

Appreciate the help, I think I'm going to look into finding a bigger PTO for the 1811, instead of tracking down a 450, the pto should be easier to find, and hopefully less money. I dont mind changing the pto twice a year really.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
