I don't use my Cub, I just work on it and look at it, so far it's holding up very well.

What about welding in 1/2" thick gussets where the factory spindles are bent? I've seen this done before, and would be almost as strong as Tim's, just not as cool. Also, front hubs off of a Lo Boy, along with 5 lug 8" golf cart rims, would be stronger than what MTD/IH put there. |

GREAT JOB on the spindles!
Really wish you had taken more pics!...... ![]() We'll let you off the hook this time! But next time MORE PICTURES! ![]() ![]() Just a thought: Why not machine of the bottom of the axle itself and put a thrust bearing between the spindly and the axle like a big tractor. It would make it easier to steer.

interesting point CTRUEX. i just looked at a few pix of the lowboys front hubs. has the same bend as the cubs. your saying i could take lowboy hubs and install them on my axle and they would fit? if that's the case im in.
