Default Blade spring being a pain
i am trying to assemble and put my snow plow blade on the 71 and i have got everything on and ready to go except the tension springs. I cant seem to get the spring on the plow and the mounting bracket. do you guys have any ideas or good ways to get the springs on?

In the tech section there should be instructions with pictures to do this very thing.

When I re assembled mine this past summer I took the rod out of the bottom that the blade pivots on when it trips- hooked the top of the springs then the bottom, pushing back on the bottom of the blade will allow you to re insert the rod.

This is the way to do it. It might help to have another set of hands to insert the rod while you push the holes into alignment, but I just did this last weekend by myself. I had the blade on the bench (could be on the ground), face down, pull the pivot rod, push the blade support forward, hook springs on, then push the support back into position, aligning the pivot holes, reinsert the pivot rod.

I did it myself as well, un mounted from the tractor. I think I read that in the manual.
