2014 Mowing Season
Had some surging issues with my K-17 II in my 782 earlier this Spring. Decided to trace the fuel system from tank to carb. Began by taking the gas tank off last evening, removed the angle valve and cleaned out some stuff from it. The remnants of the original filter screen could be seen down inside the valve body, so at some point, the PO decided to chuck that thing. Inside, the tank looked really clean. Started engine to find some surging. Watching the engine run (surging), it appeared the spring between the throttle cable and the governor was not right. Readjusted the throttle cable.
Fired it up again and ran nice and smooth. So smooth, in fact, that I started mowing the lawn. Finished long after dark without a hiccup. So, my official 2014 mowing season has begun!
