Hey everyone, new to the site but not not new to cubs, grew up on a couple 149s and just acquired another. Really appreciate all the valuable information that I've already gained. Just caught the cub bug again and hope to pass it on to my son. First year using the cub in the garden. Every spare moment, Lately has been spent fabbing up sleeve hitch and getting the implements tweaked and ready for the garden, cant wait for the rain to stop so I can do some more testing.
Sorry for rambling, first post Jeff |

Also was wandering if anyone knows how my lift all of a sudden seems to have locked and now I have down force ? Pretty sure when I started messing with it, I could lift up on the 3rd pt. Now when setting the cultivator down it tries to lift rear tires. My garage is a Couple miles away and haven't been able to check it out yet . Restful for any ideas.
thanks |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
