782 predocessors/advice
I was curious what Cub Cadet/MTD models are basically rebadged 782's. From what I can tell the 1711 and 1811 look just like the 782's??? What are the differences and are they any good? The 1811's seem to sell for a very reasonable price and I would like a nice backup for the 782, would I be disappointed in the 1811? Thanks

1711 is exactly the same except for decals and maybe something very minor I'm not thinking of. The 1811 are also exactly the same except for the Magnum 18 engine which would be a plus. Also, the wiring is different.

Don't forget that the magnum useds a different key switch too. Also I think they started adding a reverse cut-out switch on the 1711, but they might have added that at the end of the 782 run.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
