Default Hi, my name is Tim and I'm a Cub Cadet addict

hi everybody. i grew up in a cub family, seemed like my dad would drag a new cub home every month when i was a kid. we have a body shop so he would repair it and paint it and mow with it for about a month before selling it then buy another one and do it all over again. i got my first cub when i was 10, it was a beat up original that i used as a go cart. im 31 and have owned and restored several cubs over the years and it never gets old. i really enjoy all the stupid people in my life that cant understand why i want that old piece of crap when there all buying a new tractor from home depot every other year. i do all the paint and bodywork for the shop and we also restore vintage ford tractors, for those who want to see my work you can go to arthurstractors.com and take a look. the picture is from a few years ago of my son and me on my 122, hes about to turn 4 and really loves the cubs to and i cant wait to get him his own so we can fix it up together. the 122 has been sold but i just got done with my 108 and im just waiting for decals so i will post pics once i get those installed. thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
