Seems like the most common up here (North West/North Central Illinois) are the Quietline's then I see quite a bit of the 682/782's and and 1x9 series Cubs.

Around here there are always some older models listed on craigslist or pennswoods. The kicker is they think the yellow paint is gold and have listed some rediculis price that they want for it.

Around here you can have your pick on clist. Narrow frames, wides frames, 82 series, attachments, even a 2082 super, as well as all the new junk. The cub crop is plentiful between Philly and Allentown. Prices are all over the place, some are outrageous, most are ok (certainly not Lew prices) but I'm sure most are negotiable.

I'm near the Fayetteville, NC area. You see none of the older cubs here. I see a lot of the new ones though.

In South East MI for sale? Mostly 2006 and newer tin cadets. I have seen people using 1X6/7 and the 1X8/9 models within a 10 mile radius of my house though.

SW VA. It's more like what is a Cub Cadet? Oh yeah they sell those at TSC. Almost everyone is a road trip.

Ha ha.... yup.... Nearest thing that shows up on Craigslist is around Roanoke or down toward Mt. Airy once in awhile.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
