I am wondering what model sickle mower fits a cub cadet 123. I would like to have one on my 123 when its restored but im not sure what model was for it. If im guessing right I think its the 402-D but ive seen them on wide frames also.

According to the "Haban Manufacturing Unit model used on" chart.
402A Side-Mount Sickle Bar IHC Cub Cadet 1964 and Later 402D Side-Mount Sickle Bar IHC 1964 and later Cub Narrow Frame 402E Side-Mount Sickle Bar IHC 1964 and later Cub Wide Frame The way I read it... Yup, the 402's fit the Cub Cadets. Google it, there's more information out there.

On the covers of the Operator/Service manuals the "402 D" is mounted on a 1X4/5 tractor and the "402 E" is on a Wide Frame. That makes me think the "402 A" was made about the same time as your 123. However, I don't know that there is enough difference between the Haban models that they each won't fit on many models of Cubs
There really is a lot of information on the net, but I don't have any of the bookmarks on this computer. There is also a Haban site that you can join. IIRC there is a lot of information there, but not a lot of chat...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
