If i were to sell the 129 id make money. I bought the o and 73 for under 300 for both and the o came with a deck and plow. He was gonna give me cash for the plow and trade the rest

it's really up to you man, personally I think you'd be getting the shorter end of the trade, but opinions may vary

I thought the same. I really like the narrow frames and o's but when it comes down to it, im gonna spend more fixing the original by itself than buying a better tractor.

![]() Yeah, the hydrostatic of the 129 is more preferable to me IMO, but having a 73 and an Original outweigh it.

![]() In either case, if I were in your position, I wouldn't do it. If anything, I'd sell the Original and 73 (ask more if you can just get them both to start and move) and take that money and buy a 129, an 82 Series, or even a Cyclops (I'm seeing more and more of those come up these days it seems like). I'd venture to say you could get $600+ out of those two you have (in running shape). I've seen a Cyclops Super with a 60" deck go for $800 just recently (friend bought it, I missed it ).My point/suggestion is; don't trade. If anything, sell and use the money towards what you want. Just because a deal comes up, doesn't mean you have to do it (this is a hard lesson for all Cubbers to learn ).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
