Yea, thank God I'm not married at the moment,...there is enough of that going on around here!
Anyways, went to pick up the model 86, and the little twurp would not even answer the door. I made it clear I was not going to pay a "running" tractor price for a tractor that don't run, and is a plane- jane. "Hey, keep it", I said,.. "I have bigger fish to fry"! Why do people have such a preconceived/ made-up idea in their head that these tractors are gold, even with blown motors and who knows-what else? Boy, what a cheese-ball this twurp made out of me! Back in the good'ol days, I was not a person you said something to and then not come through with what you said you would, and I caught myself and let it all go and walk away. Anyone? ![]() Sorry to rant,....BTW, I would get the 128 in the thread topic. Just make sure both party's understand the pick-up agreement. Needless to say, the owner of the model 86 I wanted want's a price similar to this 128 that runs. |

Hey, wait a minute... It is not my intention to blow this thread off course, but I'm not at all sure I understand this quote.
"at the moment" sounds like something that can change any time you want it too. Is there something that I don't know about, like a "marriage switch" that you can flip off or on, depending on your needs at the time? A device like that could be kinda handy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
