How about a "knock down" on the deck chute to keep the grass within 24", then mount the sweeper like a side car on the discharge side. Mow and sweep at the same time.

If the hitch you make to pull it isn't heavy enough to push down on the tongue, then it's hitch will just pop up in the air and the bag will be on the ground. The tandem hitch will have to be very heavy, and have wheels on it. Then it would work.
That has nothing to do with my Red Green alternative. ...

Just get AC to sweep the lawn, he loves running his sweeper.

It will be a cold day in H--L before I sweep my lawn. God wanted those clippings where they are so I'm gonna leave them.

I like it!

I may attempt this when the leaves begin to fall. Got 4 rolls of "the handymans secret weapon", I think I can make it happen.

A leaf blower on wheels does the same thing, works for grass too.

Just my 2 cents, I cut it and where it lands is where it stays. Granted it does not look like a golf course green but I don't care.

Of course, mine is the same way, just need a caster under the rear of the bag to support the weight. We call that "low hangin fruit". LoL

Even if it had a caster under the bag it wouldn't work. Unless you mounted the caster to the frame and not the bag. Then it would.

Actually...no I didn't, not until you pointed it out. You posted at almost the exact minute I did so I didn't even think to scroll above my post to read responses

That being said, I see what you're saying. It shouldn't be too hard to make an adjustment to the design to accommodate what you said. But, while it may may be a fairly simple solution (add weight to the central hitch and a caster or two to keep it off the ground), it will cost more money. I'll see if I can think of something, hmm...there's go to be a simpler way to make this work

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
