After alot of thinking about what I wanted to do with it and how to paint it,I went a totally different direction. I was planning on painting it a silver color frame and suspension and a matching green to my racecar and add Lunar effect as well as a Marvin the Martian paint scheme, but after I thought about it, I decided I liked the IH red of the big tractors. So now, it will be IH red and white tower as well as white wheels. I am putting 8.50 AG's on the back as well as 4.80 front tri-ribs. Hoping to keep the motor either a 8 or 10 hp unit. I also will put a stack on it. I want to have a custom IH grille on it and make a panel where the headlights are and either have it cut out or painted with his name Carson on it. Planning on the QL series frontend so it will be a bit easier to adapt the plates on the front. I already asked a buddy who does decal designs about making some flat black hood and tower decals for it. When I took the frame down tonight,he quoted me a price of 35 to blast it and 65 to coat it Farmall red. When that's done in a week, I will take the wheels in to be done. I want to make a wider front axle and make it resemble a bigger tractor like I have seen on the net,but can't find the pics of the one the guy had on one of the forums.

Find out what sand he will be using to blast the frame. If it is really course, the powder coat will not lay down real nice. The smoother the better. After it's blasted, have it sanded with 180 grit paper on a DA. Tell him to turn the oven up a bit as it will make the powder "flow" a little better. All my stuff has been coated using Diamond Vogel Tractor Red, which, is a dead on match for IH red.
Also if you are talking about a narrow frame tractor just install a wide frame front axle, and spindles. Much better design. Going to do that with my 100. Jeff

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
