Default Hello from Northwest Missouri!

Hello all. My name is Craig Armfield and I'm from a small town in northwest MO where I own and operate a tractor repair shop (Armfield Ag Repair) specializing in International Harvester tractors. We repair daily drivers, do restorations and build pulling components for farm stock up to limited pro stock applications. All red of course!

I have a wonderful wife who tolerates me most of the time and 4 great kids ranging from 18 to 6 years old. So taxi driving and bleachers are using a lot of my time right now lol.

My first Cub was the 1450 which is in the process of an engine rebuild right now. It is in pretty nice original shape and the iso mounts aren't even all shot yet. Then came the spirit of 76, and a 122 puller that my 8 yr old son drives. Of course then came the tiller, #2 cart and push blades and now it's kind of an obsession as I'm sure most of you know.

Welcome to the forum! Good to have another Show-Me Cubber on board. I'm in Lone Jack (SE of KC). My wife has a quilting friend that lives just east of Albany.

The 782D has only been in the family for a couple weeks and the 100 a couple months maybe. The 100 had set for I don't know how many years under a tree by a barn when i found it. it wasn't stuck and amazingly enough it took longer to get the clutch freed up than it did to have it running lol. It will be the first to get the complete restore, then probably the 76. They are just a lot of fun to play with, just need to get more attachments so I can "justify" them to my wife :-)

I'm just west and south of Albany in King City.

As soon as i can figure it out I'll try to get some pics put up of them

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
