Dang!! Wat tiller do I need to find? I only need small garden plots! I've owned several cubs but only used them to mow. Want to use this one to work a small garden.

I'm thinking of using a self-powered tiller-around here ATV-type tillers are more common.

The 190-400 was intended for your tractor.

highimpact,
You had two threads asking the same question, so I merged them together into this one. Everyone is correct, a belt drive won't bolt right up and work. But.... FWIW, you can put a belt driven tiller on this machine, but you have to make an adapter. I did it. Here is the link. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ht=tiller+1811 The tiller is off the tractor now and put away for the season, so if you need any pics the back of the tractor now has a clear view. Just holler and I'll post some more pics. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
