Unless guage is off.... I only bought a cheap RPM guage from amazon. Don't think I'll be using it anywhere else. It does however seem under powered at 3600 rpm? I push speed control foward and engine bogs.. I'm gonna start researching hydro issues now..lol

Are you any good at posting video? Upload a vid of it running. Idle then rev it to WOT. I can tell a lot from listening. (You'll have to use photobucket, or youtube.)


If it was running over 3600 RPM, then yes, it's gonna seem "different" now.

I'd be interested to know what kind of RPM gauge he has. I have one you wrap a wire around the spark plug wire and you need to set it for the revolution the spark hits ( every rev, every other rev, etc.). If it's set wrong it can double or more your RPM reading. That thing would be SCREAMING at 7 grand.

I believe if that engine revved to 7000rpm you would have a pile of scrap iron or a boat anchor whatever way you want to look at it.
