Default 1641 PTO bearing numbers

Anyone have the part numbers handy. It's the clutch with the cad plating, not the black clutch.

Mike

I just did the bearings in my 2182 clutch. I used Nsk 6206DU Single Row Ball Bearings that I got from Amazon. They seem to be the same numbers on the other clutches that I have. Your results may be different.

$31.61 from Amazon delivered for 2 bearings. NSK, same as what was in it from the OEM.

Okay, I'm cheap. We use NTN at work but for $3 each I figured I would try these.

A sleeve of 10 for $28 to your door. So far they have worked great.

Will these bearings fit the 1641 clutch? The clutches themselves are different between Sam's tractor and the 1641. I don't know if the bearings are different.

I think I just fixed a Command clutch with the 6206 bearings. Don't know if they're the same as the Briggs clutch or not?

Mike, measure yours and see what it is. All 6206 bearings have a bore of 30MM and an outside diameter of 62MM.

Guess I'll have to read the number on the bearings after I get it apart. I wanted to get a set of bearings before I pulled it apart. This thing is down in the country and bearings aren't easily obtainable there. I was hoping someone had put bearings in a 1641 recently and could confirm the number for that model.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
