Default Binding manuals & other documents

Hey guys, for lack of a better place to post this, I figured I'd put it here.

For any piece of equipment or tractor I buy, I usually go find the owners manual somewhere on the internet and print it out, then bind it with a binding machine I have at home.

I do this even if I have the original manuals, because I have no worries about having to be careful when flipping through the books in order to avoid getting greasy fingerprints on the pages or tearing anything.

I refuse to be 'that guy' that sells a pdf on ebay for $5 that anyone can usually find with a little searching around on the internet, then the seller simply emails the pdf.

BUT, if anyone is interested in me binding something for them, just as FedEx, Staples, OfficeDepot, etc would do, then mailing it to them, I'm happy to do so for a minimal fee.

Please bear in mind I would NOT be selling the document, but rather charging only for printing it out and binding it.

Is this something that anyone would be interested in?

Personally I like the PDF's. Just print out what I want, then when I'm done, just throw it away. No worry about getting a book dirty.

I just take the phone with me and pull up what I need straight from my SkyDrive account.

I keep all my manuals on PDF on my computer. That being said, I also keep a large binder in the shop. In it, I have all my manuals printed out and in sleeve inserts so when I need something, I don't have to run inside, find the PDF, read, run outside, run back in to double check, etc. Just easier that way.

It would be nice to have them already bound, but I print them off at work and staple together using a heavy duty book type stapler the wife brought home.

I can't stand looking at a pdf manual, got to have a printed copy. I'm old fashioned I guess.

What would be this fee be for let's say a parts manual which is what I use the most

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
