Thanks for the comments, here's the deal Galax is the kind of place you retire to. Cost of living is CHEAP, taxes are about 1/4 what I paid in CT. If you like motorcycle riding this is heaven, I'm 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Jobs here are pretty much non existent or low wage at best. I bailed out of CT once I retired. Pretty much make it someplace else and run before they take it away from you.

We are getting it today. I was wondering about their forecasting abilities on this one myself. Calling for 1-3 today and another 1-3 overnight. Here it is about 9:30 in the morning and we already got 2+ inches.

Got freezing rain here a little south of you Sam. We've had white stuff on the ground for over 10 days, highly unusual. Dad asked me yesterday (jokingly) why the heck we got rid of his snow blower. If we'd have had chains and weights, we'd have kept it, maybe. Even still it would be more of a novelty. I spent close to an hour with a 90 hp tractor clearing snow last Thurs.

We just got dumped on last night. I wish Missourians would learn how to drive in snow or stay home. Accidents all over the place. Highways shut down. Its heading your way.

Well..... ran almost 12 hrs today. I'm beat. Didn't even get everything done. Still 1/2 a parking lot left and about 1/2 on mine here at the shop. Still need to get the big tractor and blower out at my house, but it had "problems" later in the day.
So, we'll get it fixed in the morning and I'll snap some pics of it. You guys will think it's pretty cool. ![]() Here's a couple shots from today. Lots of snow for us here in Illinois! You are joking right? I'm an hour South of you and not in the foot hills and we didn't barely get above freezing, no sunshine either. Fortunately Its supposed to be near 60 by Wed. Of course the soothsayers at the TV station are saying we could see a return of the white/frozen stuff on Thursday.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
