Hi Everyone,
I'm finishing a 782 tear down and frame up resto. What are the correct washers for the front axle/wheel set up? In other words, from outboard to inboard (axle bolt to knuckle) I have bolt/large fender type washer/wheel small washer/axle shaft/knuckle. Driver's side had the smaller flat washer while the passenger side did not. Cub Cadet's diagrams for wheels and axles don't show the washers nor axle bolts so I can't get the specs or assembly sequence there. Thanks! Pics attached. |

It does not have any covers but based on what a previous owner did by mixing and matching fasteners and not re-installing washers where they were designed to go, they could be missing.
Appreciate any pics or explanation. Also-trying to convert all hardware to stainless-are the big washers just fender style or are they different in some manner? Thanks. |

Doug, that'd be great. They are no longer available and I can't find them anywhere. It appears each cup requires 2 clips as well-those are available.
Let me know where you're at and how much-appreciate it. |

Post it in the wanted section. Ask for the cap and large washer just in case yours are not the correct cap washers. I'm in Greenville OH. You?

I intend to take my '95 1641 front wheels off, did so already and re-assembled.
I have a bit of horizontal play. Been there before and order washers based on outside diameter, ID diameter and thickness. Washer sizing doesn't seem to be anywhere; i.e.: service manual, partstree, wherever. A good source, fast del'ry and decent pricing: http://www.qbcbearings.com/BuyRFQ/Th...r_SL_SB_I.htm#

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
