Yikes are they proud of that part, $26.93 Anyway, came back home, used a piece of PVC the size of the outer race and pushed the new one in with the vice. Reinstalled, hooked things up, and good as new.

Now, I'm off to cocktail hour so I'll have a cold one to celebrate this project completion!

Yeah I wasn't about to give up on this and buy a new PTO when all this needed was a bearing.

BTW, last year when I "revived" the old bearing by opening it up and refilling it with grease, I seem to remember someone saying I should have just replaced it then and been done with it. I can't seem to remember who, though

I did the same thing on the bearing,paid the piper,then I found out Oak,AKA Todd can get them bearings for like 6.00.

Yep you can google the bearing number. Think I paid about $12.00 for the last 2 I bought off Amazon but considering that you needed it NOW and they had it and it's back together it's all good.

Well seeing as how I won't be mowing for a couple weeks yet, needing it now doesn't quite apply here oh well, it's done and I don't have to worry about it anymore. But next time, I'll know better
