Gotta Back it off a bit
The wife isn't real happy with me. I spent a bunch of money on fixing up the 129, I didn't tell her how much, but it was a bunch. And now she's mad at me.
So I will have to back off a bit on the 149 project.

You gotta learn to pace yourself....That's why I own only 1 Cub. Been down that road through the years with my Buicks. Try explaining a $5000 motor and another $1250 for a new rearend as well as $800 in trans parts once.. I got the cold look and quiet treatment for a long time.

Do your wives not ever spend any money on things that they want???
If we didn't have so many Precious Moments figurines... I Wouldn't have a mortgage! Then again, if "we" didn't have so many Cubs, I probably wouldn't have one either... OK, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but the point is; pay your bills, save some, let her spend some and you can spend some. Then again... How much will that really nice Cub Cadet be worth in another 20 or 30 years??? I have told my Daughter, "When I'm gone, sell these off one at a time (don't flood the market) and you WILL end up with a pretty decent chunk of change." I have also been know to tell Betsy that "I'm saving to help put some of the Grandkids through college." Besides that, my hobbies keep me out of her way... Pretty sure she couldn't stand me "under foot" all of the time.

I'm 16 and have 9 cubs that took over moms shop. When ever she gives me crap about having too many I just say, what mows the grass, what blows/pushes the snow, what grades the driveway, what tills the garden and what keeps me out of trouble. Answer is cub cadets

No I have a very good wife, and she knows I love her. A lot of men wouldn't have taken care of her the way I do. She needs daily care for everything from getting in and out bed to feeding herself to taking a shower. Somedays are worse then others.
The Cub is my way of relieving stess.
