I've owned a lot of nf tractors over the years but once I got my first wf I was hooked, its a lot easier to work on and the seat being spring mounted really helps my back. I have an 86 sitting at my house that would be an easy restore but I don't really have a desire to work on it, I keep thinking I want to restore another nf. If I were to do a nf it would be a 1x4 series as I really like the way they look with the fiberglass dash, some of the mods that would be mandatory would be seat springs and a tunnel cover. The seat would be pretty easy as I could just use springs from a wf and eliminate the seat flipping up, the tunnel cover mod would be a bit more involved but it would make any future repairs much easier. I know were there's a 124 roller sitting I could get cheap and I have a few engines sitting around that need rebuilt or I could simply remove the 12hp from my wf to put in the 124 so I could build the 14hp for in the wf. Just thought I'd put my thoughts out there for any ideas you guys may have.

What you going to do with this when you're done? I mean like show or work or both? This will give us direction on ideas

This would be used for plowing the driveway and going to plow days, I already have my 108 for mowing. I will also be showing it along with my 108 and my sons cadet 111

Tim, here's what I did for the seat on my 125. Just had to drill the "flippers" and bolt the springs and seat up. Much better than the hard tail...

That's basically what I'm going to do but I'm going to bolt the springs directly to the fender mount, there's really no need to have a flip up seat since there no toolbox or battery.

There is a thread somewhere on here where someone drilled out the welds on the tunnel cover and welded threaded rods to the cover that then went through the frame for a nice clean look. May have been merk or zippy, can't remember!

Anyone ever do a spring style pan seat conversion on that 1x4 series? That would be some cool fabbing along with the tunnel cover Tim.
Or go with the fiberglass or rubber seat with the regular dual later springs zippy style. PS id like to have that 86
