Default Haven't seen this in awhile.

I bought this a few years ago and promptly squirreled it away in one of the buildings here at the house. Although I never actually forgot about it, it's one of those things that I knew that I would never really NEED, so I just never thought about it too much.

So I've been straightening things up a little and needed it moved. Today was the first time since the day I brought it home that it had sun light on it.

Not sure what to do with it, it's gonna be in the way no matter where I try to put it. Might have to wait until sometime when Betsy isn't going to be home and sneak it into the house so I can get it up in the attic. I sure would hate getting caught in the act of doing that.

I think it's in pretty good shape, everything seems to work alright. The cans and lids both have a few dings and scratches, the fert can has some rust on the right hand side near the top and back of the opening, I'm guessing that's fairly common though.

I thought you guys would enjoy a picture.

Of course you NEED IT, because without it then you would not have one.....ergo, you NEED IT! You know you have an addiction when you are sneaking things around and hiding them from your gal. But it doesn't belong in the attic, put it to good use buddy!!! Betsy will really appreciate it during harvest time. It looks to be in good shape. I am glad you got it. I don't have one of them, so I NEED one.

OH MY, I'm sorry, it seems that I have misled you guys...

When I said "squirreled away" I meant that I put it in an out of the way far corner...

And the part about not letting Betsy know... Is all about the act of bringing through the house to get it to the pull down attic stairs.

She knows that I have it... I told her where I was going when I went to go pick it up...

Betsy doesn't always know beforehand when something "new" is coming home, but then again, I'm not always sure either. I don't keep stuff from her though.

And no Lew, sadly I probably won't plant anything with it before it gets put away, there just doesn't seem to be time to do everything. I think the only other thing that is going to get planted this year are some more blackberrys later on.

I think you should just let me have it! Lol naw just kidding. I don't blame you. I have a disk and cultivater. I used the dish a couple times and took it off, need a hitch for the 1211. With the extra weight it's all my right arm wants to pick it up with the 1200. Haven't used the cultivater, but had to have it. It was a good deal and got it with the disk. Your not the only one hiding implements! Lol

That's just to cool not to use..... But I guess I got a few things that I didn't need, and had no intentions of using but they found their way home, and are tucked away for someone to find when I'm long gone....

I've been looking for one of those. Cool piece, Mark-I'd have tons of corn planted if I had it.

Mark,
Nice planter. I've done the same thing with cub stuff and my wife. My latest acquisition was the Gannon Earthcavator that I ran and picked up while she was at work. When she saw it, she asked where it came from and I told her that it's been in the shed for awhile. My wife's a smart woman (she knew it wasn't in the shed ). She's to the point where she won't say no because when I want something, I get it. The honey do list just gets longer and longer..............

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
