1450 with 44A, need belts
I have a 1450 with a 44A deck. I need new belts. The mule drive belt still had a readable # on it, IH-490489-R2. When I look it up it says its a 3/8 x 80 belt, but it looks like the pulleys should have a 1/2 belt. Has anyone tried a wider belt? I can't read a # on the spindle belt. What part # would I need? The deck has a 5" drive pulley on it. Thanks for any info, cjet69.

I'll have to go look on my 1200. I know it calls for a 3/8x80 but if I remember right I have a 1/2x79 from tsc on there. I put new mule drive pulleys on there 2 years ago and think they are 1/2 wide.
